Position Summary
General Atlantic Service Company, L.P. is seeking an entrepreneurial-spirited Associate to support the Mexico team. This role will provide exposure to all parts of the investment process, from sourcing investment opportunities to conducting initial diligence and presenting to the Investment Committee, as well as supporting the value creation initiatives in GA's portfolio, playing an important role in the firm's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support investment due diligence and portfolio value creation.
- Prepare and present investment memoranda to General Atlantic's investment committee.
- Collaborate with Managing Directors, Vice Presidents, and management teams to support portfolio companies.
- Conduct research and identify investment themes and potential targets through in-depth industry analysis.
- Perform proprietary research through calls with industry contacts, consultants, and other relevant parties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or operations preferred.
- Passionate about discovering interesting transformational up-and-coming high-growth companies.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Superior financial modeling skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial attitude with eagerness to take on special projects.
- Strong analytical abilities, creativity, thoughtful business judgment, and professional maturity.
- Record of outstanding professional and academic achievement.
- High energy level, strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for investing.
- Desire to collaborate with colleagues throughout the firm globally.
