Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and team leads on workplace health and safety, risk management, and safeguarding practices.
- Conduct investigations into incidents and near-misses, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Return to Work Coordinator to ensure effective action is taken to support injured workers and ensure their safe return to work.
- Develop and deliver training programs to promote a culture of safety and safeguarding across the organization.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or similar qualification.
- Extensive experience in safety and compliance, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
- Strong computer literacy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly desirable: Certificate of completion "Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect" (RRHAN) and experience advising, commissioning, or conducting investigations in the Child, Youth Family sector, Disability sector, and/or Early Learning sector.
- Hybrid work arrangement, with a minimum of 3 days per week working from home or office.
