As a Senior Healthcare Professional, you will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care to the community age care customers in the Bundaberg region. You will ensure the achievement of positive customer and organizational outcomes and provide evidenced-based healthcare services during intake, assessment, and therapeutic intervention.
This role is offered as Permanent Full-Time, with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements that include working from our Bundaberg office and from home. The ideal candidate will have post-secondary or tertiary qualification in an Allied Health discipline and current registration with AHPRA or other professional body.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily leadership, management, support, and guidance for a team of allied health professionals.
- Participate in customer care and allied health service delivery in your specific discipline for funding areas including but not limited to Home Care Packages, Commonwealth Home Support Program, and Short-Term Restorative Care.
- Lead and contribute to team meetings, and multidisciplinary case discussions.
- Report accurate and timely allied health updates.
- Ensure the provision of clinical excellence, evidence-based clinical care, quality, effectiveness, and high standards of allied health services for Suncare customers.
- Contribute to operational quality assurance and improvement practices.
The successful candidate will possess advanced level of allied health skills and demonstrated experience in community age care health service delivery. They will also have proven ability in the leadership of multidisciplinary allied health teams, including the provision of supervision and the facilitation of allied health review and management of risk for less experienced staff.
In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate ability to apply continuous quality improvement principles in service development and have experience working with varied stakeholders (e.g. clinicians, non-clinical staff, managers, community members) combined with high-level customer service skills and proven track record in building positive relationships and trust.
