Opal-RT Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer to join their team.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hybrid or remote work environment and has experience modeling complex systems such as electrical conversion, drives, mechatronic systems, control/command.

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in electrical engineering and be proficient in MATLAB/Simulink modeling tools.

You will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, carrying out projects and deliveries, and working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless system commissioning and user training.

The selected candidate must be able to travel internationally, on average 2-5 days per month, for meetings and project-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, or on-site visits
  • Carry out projects and deliveries, including system commissioning and user training
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Develop and maintain expertise in software applications and hardware technologies
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in software development or engineering
  • Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink modeling tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
