About the Role

Marcellin College, a leading Catholic boys' school, is seeking a Deputy Principal - Staff to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis. The position offers an initial 5-year tenure in the Deputy Principal - Staff position with an ongoing teaching component.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the College Leadership Team, supporting all aspects of the Principal's role. This position provides trusted advice, support, and leadership on a range of strategic and operational matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop inclusive and supportive working environments
  • Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively in a timely and respectful manner
  • Lead a dedicated team and oversee respective portfolios
  • Maintain strategic integrity with respect to College-wide decision-making
Requirements
  • Successful experience in a senior leadership position in a school setting
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment as the leader of a team
  • Ability to assist with the development of community amongst staff, students, and parents
  • Demonstrated excellence in school leadership roles, reflecting integration of mission, pedagogy, and pastoral care, particularly as it applies to the education of boys
  • Success and experience in staff management and employment processes
  • Ability to work in a confidential, collaborative, and challenging team environment
  • Current VIT Registration
