About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing construction planning, programming, and completion schedules for various civil projects valued between $5m to $20m.
  • They will also oversee the procurement and allocation of necessary project resources, including personnel and equipment.
  • An important aspect of the role is cost management and reporting, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget.
  • Contract administration, including notices of default, extensions of time, and claims, will also be part of the responsibilities.
  • Quality assurance is crucial, involving organizing testing, inspections, and submissions to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • The Site Development Manager will deliver progress reports to the Construction Manager, highlighting any challenges or successes.
  • A critical aspect of this role is ensuring safe working conditions for staff and subcontractors, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.

About You:

  • We are looking for an individual with excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills, who can effectively manage teams and stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in civil construction and subdivision works is essential, along with a solid understanding of project management principles.
  • A proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard is required.
  • Candidates should be familiar with contract administration, quality assurance, and cost control.
