Our Partnership:
We partner with Wellways and Clarity Health Care to open a Western NSW Medicare Mental Health Centre, providing free, safe and welcoming spaces to access mental health advice, supports and services.
The centre offers a streamlined approach to better mental health and social wellbeing across regional NSW communities.
Key Features:
- We deliver high-quality evidence-based clinical care as a member of the multidisciplinary team to achieve better health outcomes for adults aged 18 years and over who experience mental health concerns and their families and carers.
Responsibilities:
- We conduct intake and assessments, including risk assessments, care treatment planning, care coordination with internal & external services, and provide brief psychological intervention.
Requirements:
- AHPRA registration (Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse) or General/Provisional AHPRA registration as a Psychologist OR AASW registration/eligibility as a Social Worker.
- Knowledge & understanding of theory underpinning evidence-based interventions & clinical practice, demonstrated excellence in practical application in mental health and alcohol and drug use areas.
- Highly developed communication (including written) and interpersonal skills, ability to engage with people, advocate on their behalf and establish effective relationships with staff, clients, families & friends and stakeholders.
- Experience in electronic client/customer management systems, desktop computer usage, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Eligibility to apply/currently hold a WWCC and willingness to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance.
