Job Description

We are seeking a strategic leader to drive the future of health care in Australia. As Chief Executive Officer, you will champion a sector dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to millions of Australians.

About the Role

  • Lead the strategic direction and oversee operational management.
  • Provide direction to and support the development of our team.
  • Act as spokesperson for the sector in public, political, and media engagements.
  • Foster strong relationships and collaboration with member CEOs, government officials, and community leaders.
  • Champion policies that enhance access to care, member sustainability, and member issues, with a focus on marginalised communities.
  • E nsure the financial health and governance of the organisation.
  • Drive organisational change and cultivate a culture of excellence, inclusion, and ethical practice.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for an individual with proven executive leadership experience in complex, values-driven organisations. Key qualifications include:

  • Strong political acumen and experience engaging with government and diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication, advocacy, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage resources, and inspire professional growth.
  • Experience working with and reporting to a Board and member-based organisations.
  • A leadership approach suited to working within a mission-driven context.
