Steel Reinforcement Residential Housing Coordinator

Ausreo is expanding its Scheduling team and has a role in our Residential Housing Network reporting to the Residential Sales Manager.

The role will include:

  • Interpreting customers' approved specifications, structural and architectural drawings.
  • Preparing estimates, bar schedules detailing diameters, grades, shape of bars for production.
  • Accurately taking off reinforcing steel and preparing a cutting list (works schedule) of reinforcing for manufacture and delivery.
  • Communicating with customers, production, site personnel, and sales.
  • Actively promoting our products and services to customers to generate maximum sales and margins.

To be successful, you will:

  • Possess practical and structural knowledge of products and services within the construction and building industry.
  • Have extended knowledge of construction sequencing and structural properties and designs.
  • Familiarity with all types of structural drawings for construction, including domestic, residential, and multi-storey.
  • Extended knowledge of mathematics, including trigonometry and geometrical equations.
  • Prior experience within the construction industry will be highly desirable, including concreting, steel fixing, construction management, and civil works backgrounds.
  • Be customer-oriented and capable of competently liaising with internal staff and customers in a professional and pleasant manner.
  • Work in a team environment that fosters getting the job done.
  • Have relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to multitask between different tasks.
  • Be a problem solver.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
