Hostel Supervisor

Job Overview

The Health organization is seeking a skilled Hostel Supervisor to join our team and contribute to providing outstanding care in our Residential Aged Care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership and Support: Provide specific support to the Executive Officer/Director of Nursing in leading Nurses and Care Workers, ensuring high standards of care and effective team performance.
• Care Continuity: Promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Managers and the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager.
• Practice Implementation: Assist in implementing practice changes and improvements in the Residential Aged Care Services.
• Operational Management: Support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in managing various operational aspects, including:
  • Performance management processes
  • Recruitment and staffing
  • Leave management and rostering
  • Work allocation and attendance management
  • Financial planning and monitoring of supplies

Requirements

• Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
• Current practicing certificate
• At least 3 years, full-time equivalent, post registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife
