Our Dawson operation is a large open-cut coal mine located in Central Queensland, where we employ a team of skilled professionals to maintain and repair our mobile equipment.

We're currently seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our Field Maintenance team at Dawson Mine. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative, general maintenance, and repair work on our mobile equipment, including Excavators, Drills, and CAT/Komatsu Trucks.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to have a strong background in electrical maintenance and repair, as well as experience working with heavy machinery. You'll also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on mobile equipment, including inspections, servicing, and repairs
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues on heavy machinery
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and complete reports as required
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure seamless equipment operation and minimize downtime
About You:
  • You have a current Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Electrical Work
  • You have previous experience working as an Auto Electrician or in a similar role
  • You are proficient in the use of SAP and other relevant software
  • You possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills
