About the Role
Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking a skilled Service Advisor to join our team in Brisbane. This is a Permanent Full Time, Monday to Friday role, located in our Richlands facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering high-quality, cost-effective service that meets customer expectations and minimizes complaints.
- Maintain effective communication with customers to ensure they are informed of quotes, job progress, and invoicing.
- Ensure accurate documentation and invoicing by closing segments with appropriate parts, labor, and miscellaneous booked to the job.
- Monitor jobs for quality and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement.
- Accurately encode documentation relevant to the Microsoft AX system.
- Verify labor hours and investigate non-recoverable labor hours, ensuring accurate accounting and efficient workflow.
- Collaborate with the leading hand to schedule service calls, labor availability, and tasks, preparing and closing segments on completion.
- Develop accurate customer estimates for repairs and deliver them through AX.
- Forecast invoicing expectations and engage with the leading hand and technicians on customer deliverables.

About You
A successful candidate will have:
- A relevant trade qualification.
- Proven experience working in a frontline service department within the heavy mining and construction industries.
- Sound computing skills, including good working knowledge of Microsoft AX and Power BI systems.
- In-depth knowledge of Caterpillar machinery and products.
- The ability to maintain a high level of workplace health and safety.
- Highly developed verbal and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer experience.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver on expectations.
