Job Overview

As a Senior Data Engineer in this key role, you will be responsible for leading Snowflake migrations and implementations. Your expertise in cloud architecture, DevOps, and automation frameworks will enable you to design and deliver semantic data models that drive business insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Snowflake migrations & implementations, including legacy warehouse modernisation, schema design, and data optimisation.
  • Design and deliver semantic data models to enable self-service analytics.
  • Integrate Snowflake with Power BI and other Business Intelligence tools for enterprise reporting.
  • Leverage advanced Snowflake features such as data sharing, marketplace, Snowpark, and performance optimisation.
  • Drive DevOps & CI/CD practices, including automated testing and infrastructure as code.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects (Azure, AWS, or GCP) to align with enterprise strategies.
  • Ensure data governance and security best practices are embedded across platforms.
  • Engage and advise senior stakeholders on data strategies and project delivery.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of data engineering experience, with at least 3 years in Snowflake implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of Snowflake's latest features.
  • Proven ability to build semantic models and integrate Snowflake with Business Intelligence tools.
  • Hands-on expertise in cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Strong background in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT patterns.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools like Power BI.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms.

In addition to your technical expertise, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
