Job Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional academic leader to serve as a key figure in the development and delivery of our education programs.

This role involves providing strategic leadership across research, learning and teaching, governance, and community engagement. The successful candidate will cultivate a dynamic, collaborative environment that fosters innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate a dynamic, collaborative environment that fosters innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the development and delivery of education programs that prioritise outstanding student experience, classroom readiness, and lifelong learning.
  • Champion excellence in research by supporting academics at all career stages, building industry partnerships, and driving community impact.
  • Promote the school's achievements locally, nationally, and internationally.
  • Play a central role in academic administration, staff development, and strategic planning within the school and faculty.

This position reports directly to the executive dean and works closely with associate deans, other heads of school, and university units and divisions. The role is based at the Wollongong campus and involves regular in-person engagement.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Passion for education and commitment to academic excellence.
  • Capacity to lead and manage change.
