This is a great opportunity for multiple APS6 Policy officers to join our busy team for a long-term 12-month temporary assignment. In this role, you will engage in problem-solving and issues management, exercising sound decision-making and judgment to produce policy advice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading research and analysis to develop policy
  • Preparing and coordinating policy advice
  • Drafting policy, strategy, project, and corporate documents
  • Managing policy projects
  • Identifying and addressing reform and project risks
  • Initiating and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
  • Participating in co-design, workshops, and forums

You will be shaping policy and designing and implementing important reforms. Some of the key areas you may work on include:

  • Designing system navigation
  • Support coordination and streamlining plan management
  • Innovating home and living supports
  • Home and living policy reform and guidance
  • Co-design initiatives and trials
  • Shaping the Specialist Disability Accommodation market
  • Creating an efficient and stable market for disability supports
