Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled General Practitioner to join our medical team in Townsville, Queensland.

The successful candidate will have expertise in providing comprehensive family medical services, including chronic disease management, skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, women's health care, veteran's health care, outreach clinics, nursing home visits, family planning, antenatal and post-natal care, health checks for various ages, commercial drivers' and taxi drivers' medicals, travel health advice, vaccinations, sports medicine, aviation medicals, and workcover medicals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality family medical services to patients of all ages
  • Develop and implement strategies for chronic disease management
  • Conduct skin cancer diagnoses and treatments
  • Offer women's health care services, including family planning and antenatal/post-natal care
  • Participate in outreach clinics and nursing home visits
  • Perform commercial drivers' and taxi drivers' medicals
  • Advise on travel health and provide vaccinations
  • Offer sports medicine and aviation medical services
  • Manage workcover medicals

Requirements:

  • Registered General Practitioner with current registration
  • Expertise in chronic disease management, skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, and women's health care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organized and efficient with strong time management skills
