Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Integrated Care Refugee Health Service team. As an AHP2 Social Worker, you will deliver trauma-informed, client-centred care that promotes psycho-social wellbeing and supports successful community integration.

In this rewarding role, you will:

  • Serve refugee communities through compassionate and culturally sensitive care
  • Utilize mental health expertise to create positive outcomes for individuals and families
  • Collaborate with a passionate team focused on advocacy and wellbeing

You will provide assessment, counselling, consultation, and education services, drawing on organisational and community resources to achieve the best outcomes for patients, families, and carers.

The ideal candidate is a passionate and experienced Social Worker who holds a degree-level qualification in Social Work and demonstrates strong skills in psychosocial assessment, care planning, trauma-informed interventions, and complex clinical decision-making.

Ambitious candidates should be able to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, support culturally and linguistically diverse clients, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

We offer comprehensive knowledge of social work theories, trauma-informed therapeutic models, gender-specific and CALD health issues, and the social determinants of health across diverse populations.
