Merchandise Manager

Effective product merchandising on the website is a key responsibility of this role.

  • Leading partnerships with suppliers to ensure remarkable website merchandising standards continue to evolve as customer shopping behaviors change
  • Understanding customer shopping behaviors through multiple data points to make data-driven decisions on improving website merchandising and product discovery
  • Bringing merchandise products to life on E-commerce channels by ensuring all products are accurately categorized in our online hierarchy to support trade KPIs and customer experience
  • Maintaining and optimizing all products for discoverability via Site Search, Brand, Category, & Site navigation
  • Maintaining e-commerce merchandising best practices across departments
  • Managing enriched & optimized product attributes including title, description, and other relevant features & benefits
  • Establishing and maintaining consistent product imagery across products in line with web guidelines
  • Working with the User Experience team, and external data agencies to optimize product category navigation
  • Managing product, brand, and category optimisations in line with Trade planning across all departments and supporting with key trade stakeholders
  • Supporting stakeholders across the business to supply online products via Product Information Management (PIM)
  • Bringing new brands to the website setting them up for ongoing trade success
  • Staying across SEO best practice and ensuring adherence to improved optimization briefed by internal SEO teams or external agencies
  • Assisting the Ecommerce Trade team with any required optimizations to drive trade success
  • Supporting Trade and Operations teams to align with business priorities and improved ways of working

Key Requirements:

  • Background and experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of the E-commerce landscape in Australia and other similar markets
  • Understanding of SEO and how product information feeds into SEO strategy
  • Strong activation skills and desire to execute flawlessly
  • Ability to develop and support a team
  • Creating and maintaining guidelines to improve ways of working
  • Knowledge of site search and product attributes to support accurate results
  • Fastidious organization and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
