Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our Resource & Industrial's division, supporting our Mining, Oils and Gas portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial analysis and support to the Commercial, Finance, GMs, Regional Managers and Site based operations management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial analysis: Collect, interpret, and analyze financial data, including revenue, expenses, and balance sheet related positions.
  • Prepare financial reports: Prepare forecasts, budgets, monthly results to support the decision-making processes.
  • Provide accurate and timely development of baseline budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance indicators: Identify trends and potential areas of concern and improvement.
  • Conduct industry and market research: Identify opportunities and risks that may impact financial performance.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a commercial/finance analysis, with strong analytical capability and sound commercial acumen.
  • Sound accounting knowledge and internal controls.
  • Demonstrated analytical and attention to detail skills, with the ability to manage deliverables and deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and investigation skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling skills.
  • Proficient in using data visualisation tools and creating impactful reports – Power BI experience highly advantageous.
  • Oil and Gas / Logistics Industry experience advantageous, not essential.
  • CPA qualified or on way to completing.
