About the Role

Hudson is seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our team in Australia.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled professional to work on a 6-month engagement with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up automated test environments using Playwright and be proficient in creating and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts.

Main Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze business requirements, system specifications, and user stories to create functional test plans and cases that satisfy relevant objectives.
  • Test planning, delivery, and reporting activities, including designing, reviewing, and executing manual and automated tests across multiple projects.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance of work area processes, manage identified risks and issues, and find and communicate effective solutions to deliver organizational goals.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Automation testing skills: experience with Playwright to create and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
  • Understanding of Dynamics CRM, WebApps, and PowerApps: in-depth knowledge of Dynamics CRM modules and PowerApps functionalities.
  • Programming and scripting: proficiency in programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, or Python for writing test scripts and automating tasks.
  • API testing: knowledge of testing APIs using tools like Postman or SoapUI to ensure seamless integration between different systems.
  • Manual testing skills: proficiency in creating and executing manual test cases, performing regression testing, and documenting test results.
  • Database knowledge: understanding of SQL, Dataverse, and database management to validate data integrity and perform backend testing.
  • CI/CD integration: familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to integrate automated tests into the development workflow.
  • Defect tracking and test management tools: proficiency in using Azure DevOps for tracking defects and managing test cases.
  • Analytical and logical thinking: ability to design effective and comprehensive test cases, interpret test results, and continuously improve testing processes based on data.
  • Strong business and stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Great time management skills and prioritizing to work toward a fixed deadline.
  • Previous experience in a change and business improvement environment.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $80-$120 per hour, inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading.

This is a remote working opportunity, and the ideal candidate must be based in Australia with Australian PR or citizenship.
