About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bell Services Captain to join our team at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle. As a key member of our Guest Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of Bell Services, Door and Valet Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional guest service and ensure that all guests are recognized and assisted in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure that all Fairmont standards, procedures, and practices are followed, and provide training and coaching to colleagues as needed.
  • Take ownership of creating personal connections with guests and colleagues through emotional luxury.
  • Assist in achieving labor productivity standards by adjusting staffing levels to meet business demands.
  • Ensure that all guest belongings and hotel property are protected and maintained.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Valet/Bell operations, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple tasks and guest requests.
  • Passion for guest service, strong guest service orientation, and training skills required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows XP and MS Office required.
  • Valid driving license required.

Physical Aspects of the Position

  • Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height.
  • Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally.
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis.
  • While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat).
  • Must be able to climb stairs occasionally, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat).
