Child Health Specialist
">Job Description:This is a challenging opportunity to work as a Child Health Specialist providing quality health services to families caring for children aged 0–3 years.
">Key Responsibilities:- Provide evidence-based child and family health services within the Tresillian model of care, practice principles, and NSW Health Professional Practice Framework for CFH clinicians.
- Build parental confidence and skills through information, education, resources, guidance, and role modelling of safe, responsive care.
- Work within a multidisciplinary clinical team and participate in screening, assessment, care planning, and discharge pathways to meet family goals.
- Engage in an onboarding program with ongoing clinical supervision to increase knowledge and confidence.
- Contribute to a supportive learning environment and professional development opportunities.
- Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with AHPRA.
- Postgraduate/post-registration qualifications in Child and Family Health or working towards CFH qualifications (evidence of enrolment or course progress required).
- Understanding of and commitment to evidence-based practice.
- Experience addressing the physical, social, and emotional needs of children and their families.
- Knowledge of population health and primary health care principles.
- Effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills; computer literacy.
