About the Role
The Nurse Unit Manager - Intensive Care is a key leadership position within the Intensive Care Unit at Queensland Health. As a seasoned nurse with advanced practice expertise, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the unit to achieve best practice standards for clinical practice, patient-centered care, and effective resource management.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for the delivery of contemporary nursing practice, patient outcomes, and achievement of service performance targets/indicators within the Intensive Care Unit.
- Collaborate with peers and other stakeholders to create a cohesive team environment that fosters best practice outcomes for patients and the service.
- Demonstrate advanced specialized Intensive Care knowledge, experience, clinical skills, and application of evidence-informed nursing practice and theory.
- Responsible for implementing a quality and risk management framework to improve the quality of care and work environment.
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess a strong background in Intensive Care nursing, with advanced practice expertise and leadership experience. They will be able to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care, a strong understanding of quality and risk management principles, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
