Key Responsibilities
  • Environmental Compliance: Lead the environmental team in managing compliance, securing necessary approvals, and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Approval Management: Prepare and manage approval applications, including Mining Proposals, Mine Closure Plans, Works Approvals, and other necessary licenses.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Oversee and manage stakeholder consultation and cultural heritage obligations.
  • Environmental Management System: Ensure the Environmental Management System (EMS) is effectively implemented, improving and updating as required.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Assist in drafting and reviewing approval applications, including Mining Proposals, Mine Closure Plans, Works Approvals, and other necessary licenses.
About You

You are an experienced professional with a depth of experience in mining-related environment management practices. You have excellent experience in approvals and reporting, coupled with strong leadership skills, both with your direct reports and the wider site leadership team. Your strong intercommunication skills will assist with effectively engaging stakeholders to foster effective outcomes for the company.

Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role within the resources sector.
  • Tertiary degree in an environment discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, report writing, and environment databases.
  • Strong experience with GIS and budget management software.
  • Strong understanding of environment, mining, heritage, and conservation legislation.
  • Ability to lead environment risk assessments and manage incident investigations.
