Community Engagement Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Community Engagement Officer. This is a permanent full-time position that will play a critical role in strengthening community engagement and parent/carer experience of community in our schools.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development and implementation of community engagement strategies that promote parent/carer participation and involvement in school life.
- Build and maintain relationships with parents, carers, and community members to foster a sense of belonging and connection to our schools.
- Develop and deliver training and education programs for parents and carers to enhance their skills and knowledge in areas such as education partnership priorities and complaint management.
- Manage and address complaints and feedback from parents and carers in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with school leaders and staff to ensure that community engagement initiatives are aligned with school goals and objectives.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to community engagement and parent/carer participation.
- Demonstrated experience in community engagement and proactive consultation.
- Ability to engage and influence people at all levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- High degree of organisational skill and attention to detail.
- Experience in presenting adult training/education an advantage.
