About the Role

The Senior Project Engineer will play a key role in the delivery of TasWater's capital works projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion of projects that meet contractual arrangements with clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing engineering and coordination for the design, supply, installation, and testing of TasWater Capital Delivery Office projects
  • Assisting the Project Manager with compliance to the CDO/UGL Management System
  • Reviewing and planning projects with the Team Lead/Project Engineer to ensure technical aspects are clear and contractual arrangements are met
  • Liaising with Project Engineer/Project Supervisor to ensure projects are on schedule
  • Providing a focal point for technical-based queries for associated subcontractors/suppliers
  • Developing scope of works required for RFT and RFQ documentation, ensuring technical specifications and references are included
  • Preparing and managing procurement packages, including design, supply, and installation lump sum and schedule of rates
  • Coordinating with designers and suppliers in the development of design solutions
  • Overseeing the entire project from an engineering viewpoint, maintaining an open approach to all problems
