We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a trainee in Individual Support.

This part-time traineeship offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience while earning a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing).

The role involves providing personalized support to elderly individuals living in their homes or in residential care centres, focusing on personal care, nutrition, social activities, medical appointments, lifestyle, and leisure activities, as well as basic healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and companionship to elderly individuals
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks
  • Plan and participate in social activities and outings
  • Accompany individuals to medical appointments and other scheduled events
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and clean environment

Requirements:

To be considered for this traineeship, you must:

  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Hold a valid South Australia Driver's licence
  • Have access to a reliable and roadworthy vehicle
  • Meet the mandatory vaccination requirements for aged care services
  • Display a kind and compassionate demeanor, excellent teamwork skills, and ability to communicate effectively with people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds
