Auto Electrician Job Opportunity
\We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our team at our Western Australia Iron Ore sites in the Pilbara.
\About The Role\- \
- Conduct complex diagnostics and maintenance activities/repairs on mobile plant & equipment.\
- Work efficiently and effectively on plant and equipment such as autonomous Trucks and other essential critical Mobile Fleet.\
- Follow specific maintenance programs and procedures and carrying out checks on equipment as required.\
- Ensure accurate completion of technical documentation, reports and drawings as required.\
- Be comfortable in the use of computerised maintenance systems (SAP), including time confirmations, raising notifications and closing work orders.\
- Maintenance Activities Include:\

- Conducting routine inspections and performing scheduled maintenance tasks.\
- Diagnosing faults and implementing repairs on site or in workshop settings.\
- Liaising with production teams to ensure efficient processing of tasks and minimise downtime.\
- Collaborating with Maintenance Planner to plan and coordinate maintenance activities.\
- Providing technical guidance and support to junior technicians.\
- Contributing to Continuous Improvement initiatives within Maintenance department.\
- Developing and maintaining detailed knowledge of equipment capabilities, limitations, and operating procedures.\
- Supporting training and coaching for other technicians and staff members.\
- Assisting in the development of new processes and procedures to improve overall efficiency.\
- Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and risk management principles.\
- Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and contributing to process optimization.\
- Participating in regular performance reviews to discuss goals, expectations, and areas for growth.\
- Engaging in ongoing professional development to maintain up-to-date skills and knowledge.\
- Actively promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and open communication.\

- Working knowledge of CAT Minestar Autonomous system.\
- Experience working on CAT Haul Trucks 793F Haul Trucks.\
- Knowledge of Cummins, Liebherr & Caterpillar Equipment.\
- Ability to work off schematic drawings.\
- Proficient in using computerised maintenance systems (SAP).\
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.\
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.\
- Capacity to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.\
- Comfortable working at heights, confined spaces, and extreme temperatures.\
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and tools.\
- Valid Forklift Licence.\
- Current Automotive Refrigerant Handling licence.\
- Australian recognised Automotive Electrician Trade Qualification (Heavy Industry).\
- Forklift and High Risk Working licence.\\
