Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Operator to join our team. As a Heavy Vehicle Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy vehicles, such as cranes, trucks, and forklifts, to transport goods and materials.

Responsibilities:

  1. Operate a crane to lift and move objects
  2. Deliver and pick-up props from sites
  3. Maintain props and stock counts of precast props
  4. Inspect crane equipment and carry out routine maintenance
  5. Ensure that all loads are within approved limits
  6. Load and unload precast props with either the 3t truck crane or forklift
  7. General collection and transport of other items as directed

Requirements:

  1. Hold a current HR Truck Licence - Heavy Combination Truck Licence
  2. Hold a High Risk Forklift License (Advantage)

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  1. Minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar role
  2. Knowledge of mechanical and technical activities
  3. Ability to focus and concentrate for long periods of time
  4. Excellent spatial thinking and ability to judge distances
  5. Ability to develop, improve and follow procedures and standards
  6. Confident and respectful communicator with the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of team members
  7. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities

Performance Goals:

  1. Achieve zero incidents – no lost time incidents
  2. Maintain plant and equipment within test dates and maintenance schedules
