Job Description

As a Commercialisation Manager, you will play a key role in advancing the commercialisation of research and intellectual property at our organisation.

You will work closely with researchers to identify and assess potential new intellectual property and negotiate commercialisation transactions such as licences, start-ups, and research agreements to take the research to market.

Additionally, you will lead all aspects of the commercialisation and IP management process from early-stage research to negotiations of deals and establishing start-up companies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant field or 5+ years of experience and a strong track record of success in identifying, managing, and commercialising intellectual property.
  • Technical knowledge in a relevant area of life sciences and demonstrated business development expertise.
  • Able to deal with complex situations and communicate clearly.

Essential skills include:

  • Assessing early-stage technologies and understanding intellectual property (IP) management and protection.
  • Negotiating commercial opportunities.
  • Scoping, pitching, and negotiating commercialisation transactions.
