Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with innovative minds and drive solutions for water security, climate change, and energy transition.

The role involves supporting the design and documentation of LV and ELV electrical systems, PLC/telemetry, and instrumentation and control. You will also assist with motor lists, cable sizing, cable schedules & IO lists, prepare electrical schematics, and contribute to technical reports on small to medium projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualifications
  • 2–5 years of experience in an engineering consultancy, contractor, or asset owner environment
  • Exposure to the Water / Wastewater industry preferred, ideally within Australia
  • Working towards Registered Professional Engineer status
  • Familiarity with standards, conceptual and detailed design, and design management of electrical infrastructure
  • Awareness of electrical safety principles (e.g. protection, arc flash, earthing, hazardous areas, machine safety)
  • Experience with modelling software such as PowerCAD or PTW is a plus
  • Ability to interpret authority standards and electrical requirements for greenfield and brownfield projects
  • Strong communication skills with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
  • Willingness to take on design coordination or project support roles across multiple projects
