About the Role:

This exciting opportunity is for an Exercise Physiologist to join our team in Mount Isa, Queensland. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will assess, plan, and implement exercise programs to prevent and manage chronic diseases and injuries. You will work with clients of all ages and health levels, providing health education and advice to enhance their well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screening and Risk Stratification: Ensure the safety and appropriateness of exercise interventions for clients.
  • Assessment and Program Development: Develop safe and effective individualized exercise programs for clients with chronic diseases or injuries.
  • Group Classes and Community Outreach: Run group classes focused on falls prevention, cardiac, and pulmonary health, and provide outreach services to remote communities.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, healthcare providers, and community groups.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Exercise Physiology and current registration with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
  • Driver's Licence: A current, unrestricted 'C' class Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Communication Skills: High-level communication skills and good computer literacy in the Microsoft Office suite.
