Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Deployment Specialist to join our Federal Government Client.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project scheduling and planning, with experience in managing complex deployment activities. They will also possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify, communicate, and mitigate delivery risks and issues.

  • Project Scheduling & Planning: Develop and maintain detailed project implementation schedules with linked dependencies, including environment readiness and technical task breakdowns.
  • Deployment Management and Coordination: Manage and Coordinate complex deployment activities across multiple delivery streams, ensuring alignment to an integrated program schedule.
  • Program Reporting & Schedule Health: Produce high-quality program-level status reports, highlighting schedule health, risks, and variances from baseline to support informed decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Risk Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify, communicate, and mitigate delivery risks and issues with minimal supervision.
  • Data Platform Delivery Support: Extract and track technical implementation details from SMEs, particularly within Data Lake or Data Warehouse environments, using tools like Clarizen or similar.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience as a Release Manager.
  • Has Data Warehouse or Data Lake Implementation Experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise creating and maintaining a detailed project implementation schedule with linked dependencies, including environment management.
  • Experience using Clarizen project management tool, or similar.
  • Experience working within large-scale delivery programs is ideal.
  • Government or Federal Government experience is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates must be Australian Citizen due to security Work Rights requirements for this role.
