We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team as a leading hand/senior technician at Cq Tyres and Mechanical. As a local family-owned business, we pride ourselves on providing quality customer service and workmanship.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing our team of mechanics and apprentices, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and mentoring a team of mechanics and apprentices
- Overseeing all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair, including general servicing, minor and major repairs, and diagnostics
- Assisting the office team with quote preparation, part interpretation, and customer queries
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in light vehicle mechanics, with a focus on leadership and team management
- Excellent leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong vehicle diagnostic skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Able to work unsupervised, with a high level of autonomy and decision-making
- Excellent work ethic, with a focus on quality and productivity
- A manual unrestricted driver's license
- Able to perform under pressure, with a calm and composed demeanor
- Considerable experience in the mechanical field, with a strong understanding of vehicle systems and components
This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, ranging from $45 to $55 per hour, depending on experience. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
