Machinist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Machinist Specialist to join our busy workshop in Dandenong on a 5 x 2 roster.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for machining engine components on a range of heavy diesel engine components of all makes and models.

• Attend and contribute to daily pre-start meetings.
• Carry out machining processes on cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, crankshafts, connecting rods, and hydraulic cycling machining of earthmoving, construction, mining, power generation, marine, and agricultural engines.
• Report stock levels of consumables to assist in planning for future works.
• Maintain machinery and equipment, and record within our systems.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and reports relating to works completed.
• Ensure all tooling is in good condition and fit for the task being performed.

To be considered for this role, you will have the following skills, experience, and attributes:

• Experience in engine machining processes.
• Machinist qualification.
• Competent computer skills.
• Highly developed communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering superior customer service.
• Proven ability to work unsupervised.
