Senior Experience Designer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer to join our team on a 12-month contract.

This role is about leading design on initiatives that genuinely improve how members engage with their super - securely, confidently, and with clarity.

The position is part of the Experience Design team. As a product designer, you'll be designing experiences that directly impact the financial futures of over 900,000 members across Australia's building, construction, and allied industries.

You'll work for a profit-for-members fund where every design decision contributes to better retirement outcomes for hardworking Australians.

You'll join a fund that's investing in member-focused solutions. Our members work in physically demanding, often dangerous jobs - designing for them means creating solutions that are intuitive, accessible, and genuinely helpful during critical life moments.

You'll work with a team that is helping shape how an entire generation interacts with their retirement savings.

You'll be instrumental in driving design excellence across key initiatives:

  • End-to-End Design Leadership: Leading the design on two key strategic initiatives, ensuring seamless and secure user experiences.
  • UX Evaluation & Improvement: Conducting heuristic evaluations and UX audits of the new member portal.
  • Design System Development: Collaborating on the creation of a scalable, accessible design system.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with your fellow designers and agile delivery teams.

  • Proven experience as a senior product designer.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking and measurable impact.
  • Experience in design systems, including building, maintaining, and evolving scalable systems.
  • Strong communication skills with confidence in presenting design concepts and research insights to stakeholders.
