Executive Chef

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Job2Go Pty Ltd in Black Rock, Victoria.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to meet special dietary requirements, planning menus and estimating food requirements, as well as training other kitchen staff and apprentices.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, as well as at least one year of prior relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Prepare, season and cook food in dining and catering establishments.
• Food Quality Control: Examine foodstuffs to ensure quality.
• Cooking Techniques: Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment.
• Maintenance of Food Storage: Store food in temperature controlled facilities.
• Menu Planning: Plan menus and estimate food requirements.
• Staff Training: Train other kitchen staff and apprentices.
