Leading Clinical Psychologist Role

We are seeking an exceptional academic to lead and deliver innovative teaching and clinical supervision in clinical psychology. The successful candidate will have a doctoral qualification in the field and be registered as a psychologist with the relevant Australian authority.

This is a continuing, full-time position based at one of our university campuses, offering a competitive salary package, generous leave entitlements, and a dynamic work environment that values diversity, inclusion, and flexibility.

The role involves leading high-quality teaching and clinical supervision, conducting impactful research, building strong relationships with industry and community, mentoring early career academics, and contributing to program development and leadership.

  • Teaching and Supervision: Lead and deliver high-quality teaching and clinical supervision to shape the next generation of clinical psychologists.
  • Research: Conduct and publish impactful research, with opportunities to lead and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Industry Engagement: Build strong relationships with industry and community to enhance student employability and influence professional practice.
  • Mentoring: Mentor and support early career academics and higher degree research candidates.
  • Leadership: Contribute to program development and leadership, advancing excellence in psychology education and scholarship.
About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need a doctoral qualification in clinical psychology or a closely related field, registration as a psychologist with the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with an area of practice endorsement in clinical psychology, qualified to provide supervision as per the requirements of the Psychology Board of Australia, a track record of high-quality research, and experience in academic leadership.
