Senior Civil Design Engineer
A leading national engineering consultancy seeks a talented Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their team in the Central Coast, Newcastle, or Hunter Valley region. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on urban land development, including residential, commercial, and industrial subdivisions, road and drainage design, stormwater management, flood studies, etc.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play an important role in the design, planning, and execution of various civil engineering projects, utilizing skills in 12D, DRAINS, MUSIC, or equivalent software packages. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing detailed engineering plans for stormwater/drainage systems, carparks, pavements, roads, and bulk earthworks.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and other engineering consultants to ensure project success.
  • Maintaining compliance with health, safety, environment, and quality management systems.
  • Preparing tender designs, fee proposals, and layouts.

About You:

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5-10+ years local experience in land or urban development projects.
  • Strong technical skills and a deep understanding of Australian Design Standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as the role is client facing.
