Job description

As a high-performance engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable solutions that drive business growth. This role requires expertise in performance testing, API testing, and cloud-based environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance engineering, with experience in tools like JMeter and BlazeMeter. Proficiency in monitoring/profiling tools such as New Relic, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics is also required.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have a deep understanding of API testing and automation, with knowledge of cloud-based environments and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute performance testing strategies to ensure high availability and throughput for service and system APIs.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and work with development teams to optimize performance.
  • Develop and maintain performance testing scripts and frameworks.
  • Analyze test results and provide insights to improve system performance.
  • Ensure the scalability and reliability of APIs to support business transformations.
  • Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Perform API tests to ensure they meet up to 10K TPS performance targets.
  • Manage integration and service dependencies (upstream/downstream).
  • Implement chaos engineering practices to test service resiliency.
Required skills and qualifications
  • Strong background in performance testing, with a focus on high availability and throughput.
  • Proficiency in performance testing tools like JMeter and BlazeMeter.
  • Experience with monitoring/profiling tools (New Relic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics).
  • Deep understanding of API testing and automation.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based environments (AWS).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with chaos engineering and improving service resiliency.
