We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Coordinator to join our Quality Team, who will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Management: Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.
  • Performance Measurement and Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the performance of our services and implement improvements to enhance the quality of care.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the Aged Care Quality Standards and accreditation audits.
  • Staff Supervision and Training: Supervise and provide training to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Auditing and Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with staff, residents, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and a positive working environment.

Requirements:

  • Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years post-grad experience in an aged care setting.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Comprehensive understanding of contemporary quality management practices, integration with risk management, performance measurement, and improvement. Advanced knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and demonstrated involvement in compliance and accreditation audits.
  • Education and Training: Proficient in written and spoken English. Competency in Microsoft suite of products.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent clinical skills and judgment. Demonstrated knowledge of COVID-19 and infection control policies. Ability to work under pressure and meet scheduled deadlines. Genuine passion for helping others to improve their skills and confidence. Positive attitude with a passion for aged care.
