About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in providing mental health support to individuals in the community.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health occupational therapy, with a minimum of two years' experience working with clients with mental illness, autism spectrum disorder, and/or intellectual disability.

The role is community-based, allowing for autonomous management of a caseload and interventions, while regularly collaborating with the clinical team for supervision and brainstorming.

The successful candidate will be seeing participants, families, and collaborating/training formal supports at the participant's home or in the community, completing annual functional capacity assessments or brief progress reports via our assessment templates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering various forms of intervention to participants, including symptom management, habit formation, schedules, daily living skills, and study/work readiness
  • Collaborating with the clinical team for supervision and brainstorming
  • Managing a caseload and interventions, with regular progress updates
Requirements
  • A minimum of two years' experience in mental health occupational therapy
  • AHPRA registration
  • Working with Children's Check
  • Current Police Check
  • Current driver's license
  • Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • Existing NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
  • NDIS Workers Orientation Certificate (easily obtained online)
