Role Overview

Drive locomotives on rail networks, performing various tasks including mainline, shunting and marshalling operations.

Ensure timely train departures by certifying trains for departure and maintaining a high level of punctuality.

Conduct brake tests on locomotives to guarantee safe operation.

Deliver exceptional customer service to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate locomotives efficiently and safely on assigned routes.

• Maintain accurate records of train certifications and operations.

• Provide support to colleagues during peak periods or in case of emergencies.

• Develop and implement strategies to improve on-time performance.

Skills and Qualifications

Required qualifications include a Certificate IV in Rail Operations and an unrestricted Class C driver's license.

Desirable: experience with heavy haulage and freight locomotive driving.
