Data Center Critical Facilities Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Critical Facilities Engineer to join our growing team at SY9, a Hyper Scale data center within the Equinix Australian portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:- Facility Maintenance: Assist senior engineers in preventative and corrective maintenance checks on-site, support energy efficiency measures, and operate and maintain plumbing, fire suppression, and safety systems.
- Vendor Support: Collaborate with vendors to ensure that maintenance activities are carried out as per Equinix's SOPs, modify technical files for plants and equipment, and track work approval processes.
- Site Administration & Incident Support: Perform site logs for permits, such as Maintenance Operation Protocol (MOPs) and scripts, and complete routine work requests and circuit installations.
- An engineering mindset and technical aptitude to attain and maintain key information.
- Mechanical Trade/Degree qualified or relevant data center experience.
- A willingness to learn the Equinix way and be a positive addition to our culture.
- A commitment to 24/7 roster, including 12-hour shifts with 4 days on and 4 days off.
- A clear and defined career progression pathway within the Facilities team, with limitless opportunities across the business.
- Dedicated onboarding, training, and ongoing support to ensure successful applicant's continuous personal and professional development.
- Supporting management and senior engineering team to enable you to develop across all operations.
- A salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus an annual bonus and pay review.
