About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Kitchen Support Professional. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our kitchens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including all equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
- Operate the dishwashing machine and ensure that all dishes, glasses, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized.
- Assist with food preparation and presentation, as directed by the Executive Chef or supervisory team.
- Evaluate and ensure that all kitchens meet the required health and safety standards.
- Count, sort, and prepare operating equipment as required.
- Ensure that all operating equipment, crockery, cutlery, and glassware are stored safely and hygienically.
- Comply with the correct handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturer's instructions.
- Participate in cost control through energy conservation and careful use of water, cleaning materials, and other appliances.
- Ensure that garbage is collected and disposed of correctly from all kitchen areas each shift.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
