About the Role

The Behavioural Support Practitioner will identify and implement evidence-based intervention approaches, conduct functional behaviour assessments, and develop behaviour support plans in line with local and national guidelines. This will involve working closely with clients, their carers, and families to understand their needs and develop strategies to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualised behaviour support plans
  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop strategies to reduce restrictive practices
  • Provide training and support to clients, carers, and families
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behaviour support plans

Selection Criteria
  • Current National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Registration as a Core (or above) Practitioner under the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework
