The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Master Fabrication Specialist to join our Engineering team at our Gepps Cross manufacturing facility.
You will be responsible for taking on diverse fabrication and assembly projects, including lathe and mill work, cutting, drilling, commissioning and installation of roll forming and other sheet metal equipment, and fabrication and assembly of proprietary manufacturing equipment.
As a key member of our team, you will also be involved in welding and fabricating medium to heavy sub-structures and components, as well as assistance with R&D activities.
You will adhere to Stratco's safety and associated policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Your Skills and QualificationsWe are looking for an individual with a formal trade qualification in Fitting & Turning or Toolmaking and experience in a toolroom environment.
You should have a strong commitment to producing quality products, manual machining and fitting experience, attention to detail, and the ability to creatively solve problems.
Above all, excellent communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work to high tolerances and experience welding different types.
