Key Role in Resident Care

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Lifestyle Assistant to provide essential lifestyle, social and wellbeing services for our residents. This role is ideal for those who enjoy making a positive impact on the lives of others.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for encouraging resident choice and participation in individual and group activities, assisting in the design, delivery and monitoring of group and individual lifestyle services and activities, and implementing innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents.

You will also provide direct resident care during activities such as bus trips, assist with personal hygiene and toileting, and support your peers and maintain a cooperative team spirit.

About the Role:
  • Provide daily living assistance and support residents in their daily routines
  • Develop and implement engaging activities to promote socialization and overall wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate records of resident interactions and activity participation
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III or Cert IV in Leisure and Health or Individual Support or similar
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
  • Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
  • A reliable team player

We offer a competitive hourly pay rate, paid parental leave, long service leave after 5 years, and additional week of leave for Enterprise Agreement shift workers.
