We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Operations Manager to lead our team in Chatswood. As one of our brand ambassadors, you will be personable, positive, dynamic, proactive, and able to engage with your team and customers to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
In this key role, you will actively lead the team to achieve sales targets, ensure store operations run smoothly, manage people and stock effectively, and build a collaborative team passionate about our products.
Your success will come from your ability to develop a team who can showcase our designs, provide customised solutions for each customer's needs, and maintain ongoing product knowledge.
The Role:- Maintain and support daily store operations according to our standards, adhering to policies and procedures, including health and safety.
- Conduct daily team meetings to discuss pricing, packages, product changes, sales targets, and promotions.
- Continuously improve sales operations to optimise turnover, present the store and our products to the highest standard, and provide outstanding customer service.
- Effectively manage the sales team to achieve business goals while facilitating ongoing product and sales training, and building a strong, collaborative culture.
- Complete store rosters three months in advance, considering employee availability, leave requirements, and rostering high performers at peak periods, and communicate to all store employees.
- Liaise with the visual merchandising team to facilitate smooth changeovers for campaigns.
- Establish and build customer relationships and manage/resolve customer complaints as required.
- Ensure marketing materials align with Marketing and Brand requirements, including window displays and point-of-sale, and remain aware of competitor product offerings and promotions.
- You will have previous experience in a similar role managing a premium brand.
- You must be customer-obsessed and possess a strong mentoring and coaching leadership style to promote, motivate, and build a cohesive team culture.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in organising and managing a team, performance management, selling skills, visual merchandising, operational routines, and IT systems.
- Able to understand retail budgets and effectively run an operational store.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence to resolve issues.
- Experience working with textiles, furniture design, or Interior Design is advantageous.
- A team player who is flexible and adaptable to assist the greater team when required.
- Results-focused with a mindset to continuously improve operations and keep up-to-date with the latest trends, driving targets and developing your team to meet set campaigns.
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent professional presentation.
- Intermediate computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
