We are seeking a highly skilled Business Partner Spatial to join our team at NES Fircroft. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in delivering GIS support and partnering with our business to execute fit-for-purpose GIS solutions that contribute to business performance.
Key Responsibilities- Align the Geographic Information System (GIS) objectives to the business and consult on all GIS issues.
- Establish and maintain foundational master spatial data throughout the business.
- Act as a link between operations and the central team, providing oversight on operational activities.
- Audit and maintain authoritative spatial datasets across the business.
- Assist in documenting the spatial architecture, ensuring that all documents are managed and stored according to business quality requirements.
- Respond to differing demands across operations and functions.
- Assist with some training delivery requirements.
- You must have full working rights for Australia and be based in Perth, with a tertiary qualification in spatial sciences (cartography or GIS) or database/IT, or extensive demonstrated industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years of mining industry exposure is required, with demonstrated experience working with GIS data structures, relational databases, system interfacing, and associated system design.
- You must have experience in system troubleshooting, incident management, configuration management, system testing, and enhancements, as well as providing application support to end users.
- Practical experience working with spatial manipulation tools, including FME Workbench and/or FME Server, to identify, analyze, report, and manage data is essential.
- You must have experience with the ESRI stack, preferably ArcGIS Server (Enterprise Geodatabase) and ER Mapper, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, Apollo Image Web Server.
- SQL and database administration skills, including data modeling, are also required.
- This is a 12-month contract with a 7.6 hour workday and a hybrid work-from-home arrangement of 2 days a week.
- You will be based in our Perth, CBD office with excellent facilities.
